Verifactu 2026: what it is and how to comply

What is Verifactu

Verifactu is the electronic invoice verification system established by Royal Decree 1007/2023. It requires all invoicing software to generate verifiable invoice records with QR codes and digital signatures, and submit them to AEAT in real-time or near real-time.

From July 2026, every freelancer and SMB in Spain must use Verifactu-compliant software.
